But, worry not! This problem can be easily fixed.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Not Dissolving Soap

Whirlpool dishwashers function in a specific way. Each component in the machine has a specific task to perform.

If one of these components becomes faulty, you will face some issues with the machine.

In case of the soap is not being dissolved properly, then it could be due to multiple reasons. However, before trying any of the below mentioned fixes, I’d highly recommend first resetting your dishwasher.

Low Water Temperature

When the water is not hot enough, then this issue is likely to happen. The average temperature should be between 120-160 degrees F.

You can check the temperature of the water with the help of the built-in thermostat. Or you can use a thermometer to check it manually.

Problem with the Inlet Valve

When your Whirlpool dishwasher doesn’t get the required amount of water, it cannot dissolve the soap properly.

To check if your Whirlpool dishwasher is getting water or not, run the machine and wait for a few minutes. Then open your dishwasher and check if it has enough water or not.

If you don’t see enough water, then the inlet valve needs replacement.

Circulation Pump Malfunction

The circulation pump in Whirlpool dishwashers is responsible for spraying water.

To check if the circulation pump is working fine, run the dishwasher and wait for a few minutes. Then open the door of the dishwasher and check if the water is splashing or not.

If there’s just a little amount of water, then the problem is with the circulation pump.

Blocked Dispenser Door

The dispenser door must be opened for the soap tablet to mix with the water.

If the door is prevented from being opened, then you need to look at the cause of it. It might be an object that could be blocking the door. Make sure to look for such objects.

Jammed or Broken Spray Arm

Inspect the spray arms and clean them thoroughly if there is a need for them. If the water is not sprayed properly from these spray arms, the soap will not dissolve properly.

Also, make sure that you must put soap according to its need.

These were the possible causes and their solutions in case if your Whirlpool dishwasher does not dissolve soap properly.
